DUROGUN - STANDARD GUNNING MATERIALS 

Can be gunned hot or cold. Suitable for areas where use of shuttering is not practical.

 

DUROSPRAY - ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY GUNNING 

These materials are generally designed and optimized for specific applications. Where necessary consult Durocasts’ Technical Department for further information and recommendations.

 

THERMOGUN - GUNNING FOR HOT APPLICATIONS

These products have been designed primarily as hot repair materials although they can be sprayed cold.

 

THERMOSPRAY - COST EFFECTIVE GUNNINGS

In many applications it has been found that Thermospray materials give satisfactory service and cost benefits. 
Pre-dampening with 2 – 3 % water is recommended to reduce dust, but is not essential.

 

 

 

 

RAMMING AND PLASTIC MATERIALS

 

DURORAM - DURORAM PLASTICISED GRANULAR RAMMING

These are supplied dry or wet and are typically used as monolithic linings or patching materials.

 

DUROLINE - INDUCTION FURNACE

Ramming mixes based on silica, alumino-silicate, alumina and alumina chrome raw materials for induction furnace linings.

 

DUROPLAST - PLASTIC REFRACTORIES

Durocast is in the process of installing equipment to manufacture a variety of plastic materials. A number of materials have been developed and will be available shortly.

 

 

MORTARS 

 

Durocast has a full range of mortars including:

 

Heat-setting – Durobond
Air-setting – Duroset 
Chemical-setting – Duromor

Heat-setting mortars only develop a strong bond at high temperatures. This prevents cracking and damage when structural movement happens prior to reaching service temperature.

Air-setting mortars take a rigid set on drying. This gives a strong and stable structure once the mortar has set and is preferred in scenarios where strong bonding between bricks is required.

Chemically bonded mortars based on phosphate form a bond after drying. This bond becomes fully stable after firing to 370°C. Chemically bonded mortars have better resistance to metal and slag corrosion than air-setting mortars.
